Techniques
Learn about the techniques used in Altamedica's Fertility Center
FIRST LEVEL: IUI
IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) represents a first-level IVF technique, which allows the introduction of male semen, appropriately treated, into the uterus. This technique is painless and is performed in Altamedica PMA outpatient clinics, without the need for anesthesia or hospitalization.”
SECOND LEVEL: FIVET
The IVF (In Vitro Fertilization with Embryo Transfer) technique is one of the traditional solutions for assisted fertilization. With IVF, retrieved oocytes are incubated with a pool of sperm from the partner so that the elective sperm can be fertilized.”
SECOND LEVEL: ICSI
The ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Insemination) technique represents the evolution of assisted reproduction and involves the injection of a single spermatozoid inside an oocyte. Today it represents the ideal solution for all types of sterility.
CRYOPRESERVATION
Freezing of spermatozoa, oocytes and embryos
EMBRYO TRANSFER
Between the second and sixth days of embryonic development, embryos are transferred into the womb. Embryo transfer (Embryo Transfer) is quick and painless, so it does not require anesthesia.
Embryo Transfer is one of the final steps in the Homologous and Heterologous Fertilization pathways.
ASSISTED HATCHING
It is a laser technique used in the best IVF centers and involves creating a hole in the envelope surrounding the embryo. Under normal conditions, this process takes place when the embryo is in the uterus: by means of certain enzymes, the membrane thins until it dissolves, allowing the embryo to slip out and implant in the uterine lining.
